It’s good for you if you were hired in your chosen field. Now, looks like time pass so fast and now you are leaving the company trying to find a better one…So how are you actually going to start everything from packing up to marching out.

Check out the following tips:

A. Begin on giving notice. Usually this should be at least 30 days before the day you’ll be leaving the company.

B. Resigning should be done personally. Hand in your resume to your boss. Never elaborate much about the new job. If ever you were asked about the salary answer your boss politely this: “I better not discuss it to you, sir…”

C. It will be better if you are going to indicate the exact date you are leaving. Never include in the letter about the good offers that awaits you. Same with your negative comments just keep it to yourself never include them in your letter.

D. Don’t let your co-workers know first that you’ll be resigning. Let the manager know about it first.

E. Study your tasks. Check what are the things which you still have to accomplished. Make a time table for it to see the progress of your work.

F. Prepare yourself to leave the company immediately, some company let their employees leave upon resignation. So if ever this happens, don’t take it personally.

G. After you have given the company a notice of your resignation, you should still be working hard and be it time for work.

H. File all your works and pending projects. Submit all of these to your boss.

I. Don’t be bitter. Show your appreciation before you leave.

J. If possible avoid any issues/gossips.

K. Never say never, who knows you may come back and be working again with the company.

Doing these you will be remembered how you leave the company rather than the times you have been with them.
