Cadbury will not affect local jobs in Australia
The union’s Anne Urquhart is in no doubt that the takeover decision is unlikely to affect workers at the Claremont factory. Workers from the two Cadbury factories are waiting if their jobs might get affected if ever the chocolate-maker by US food giant, Kraft will take over. Last night most of the shareholders made a choice to accept almost $21 billion.
Through the webcast Kraft will correspond with workers at its sites at Claremont in southern Tasmania and Ringwood in Victoria stated by the Manufacturing Workers Union.
Anne Urquhart said that with these changes they will definitely invest a lot of guidance to the local jobs, so it will not affect what they have as of now.
“So we would hope that that would be looked at positively by Kraft but of course it’s early days yet.” She added.
