35,200 employment increase seen in December

According to statistics recently released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics the average employment in the country, has increased from December last year.

Below are the complete statistics;

Started from the month of December 2009, most of the employers were offering a lot of jobs open positions. This increased dramatically the few months before December. According to reports the number increased by 35,200; 7,300 in full-time employment. Part-time employment also rose by 27,900.

According to the Reuters poll predictions from last year there will be almost 10,000 increase in employment, however this was surpassed at the second week of the month. However 5.7 percent of unemployed and the participation rate edging up to 65.3 percent are still the same.

Skilled jobs classifieds decrease recently

Report has been release from the newspaper, online and media that the numbers of online classifieds for skilled jobs in the land down under have dramatically decreasing up to 1.7 percent between the month of December and January.

In regards with the job online advertising in all major print media almost 20 percent were fell down lower than last year. The skilled vacancies have been low since last year, it has been expected to increase this year with the most effective online advertising.

Available job rose for two of the three work-related groups, with connect professionals up by 0.1 percent and trades up 3.9 percent.

Fair Work might cost 3000 jobs

Retailers Association stated that, with the new Fair Work rules and regulations it might perhaps be the reason of more than 3000 retail jobs lost in New South Wales, Queensland, the ACT and South Australia reported through Herald Sun. The system is recently started through Federal Government, also the first execution of the country’s primary nationwide workplace relations system.

However Tony Abbot, leader of the opposition with his spokesman Bruce Billson came together with The Retailers Association in Sydney to speak out the concerns and questions in regards with the new system.

“The new cost burdens on small businesses via the Rudd IR laws will cost over 3,000 retail jobs in NSW, Queensland, ACT and South Australia alone,” The Retailers Association national executive director Scott Driscoll said.

Unfortunately, Mr Abbott called for a suspension on trials in opposition to small businesses for unintentional violation on the new administrative centre.
